Petrographic studies & MICP data integration
GEPlan offers detailed petrographic description services on thin sections and integration with MICP data. The analysis includes the lithological description, diagenetic process and products (with carbonates), pore system, modal analysis and reservoir quality assessment through the integration with MICP data. A photomicrograph atlas is also provided with pictures at different scales taken at plain or cross polarised light. The thin sections can be finally scanned and collected into a digital database using the company’s Plustek Opticfilm 120 scanner which allows to obtain high resolution images (4000 dpi).
